He is inhabitated by a superior  desire to preserv his family community, to keep a lsimple and friendly  life and to shape his activity  not to the tourist flows and to their financial means but to the needs for his community and to the rhythms of the nature.

Géraldo Espindola, dont la voix et le personnage accompagnent le film, est un musicien dont la sensibilité s’est nourrie de la beauté singulière et de la culture extraordinaire du milieu naturel et humain qu’est le Pantanal. Né à Campo Grande, capitale de l’Etat du Mato Grosso do Sul, en 1952 dans une famille de musiciens réputés au Brésil, Géraldo est compositeur, chanteur et un musicien de talent. Véritable légende de la musique populaire et poétique du Mato Grosso do Sul et de toute la région du Sud-ouest du Brésil , il met en poésie et en musique les espoirs de ceux qui défendent leurs cultures. Son sourire, sa joie de vivre et sa vision du monde révèlent chez lui une éternelle candeur créatrice. Sa voix, tantôt rocaille, tantôt velours, tire sa force de cette terre, de cette nature, de ces combats.
