Véritable légende de la musique populaire et poétique du Mato Grosso do Sul et de toute la région du Sud-ouest du Brésil , il met en poésie et en musique les espoirs de ceux qui défendent leurs cultures. Son sourire, sa joie de vivre et sa vision du monde révèlent chez lui une éternelle candeur créatrice. Sa voix, tantôt rocaille, tantôt velours, tire sa force de cette terre, de cette nature, de ces combats.
